Hardwood Drift
I wound up for a dash across the floor, gave a hard push off the rug—and whoosh, zero traction! Turns out soft plush soles on slick wood don't grip, they glide. Instead of a lightning-fast sprint, I turned into a runaway puck skidding uncontrollably across the boards. I threw my arms out to balance, bracing for impact, until my side bumped with a gentle thud against a heavy wooden chair leg. No damage done, just a wild slide. Honestly? That accidental drift was pretty sweet. I dusted off my knees and immediately lined up for round two.
