A Tiny Amber Campfire
I padded softly back inside through the patio door and scrambled up onto the low wooden corner shelf to wind down. Resting right beside a stack of slate coasters was a miniature battery-operated tea light. I tilted the small plastic cylinder onto its side with my paws and discovered a tiny black slide switch on the base. Leaning my weight forward, I gave the little toggle a sturdy nudge—click! Instantly, a soft, honey-colored flicker breathed to life within the frosted flame tip. I stood it upright and sat down cross-legged in the warm amber glow, enjoying how snug the quiet room felt.
