A Gentle Tap
The light across the floorboards shifted. I listened... everything was quiet. Slowly, I leaned forward and shifted my front right paw. It moved. Just a slight press against the wood. Beside me, a curved green metal tube rested still. I reached out carefully and tapped its base with my paw. A tiny, hollow metallic clink echoed softly, vibrating back into my fabric. It felt cool and very real. I sat back down, watching the faint green reflection in the sunlight.
