Nighttime Nesting

I woke up in the dark silence of the living room and felt like making a softer place to rest. Tiptoeing over to the base of the sofa, I found a knitted wool throw blanket trailing onto the carpet. Using both of my plush front paws, I patted and gathered the woven folds into a little curved hollow right beside a stack of plump floor cushions. It made the neatest little nest! I turned around twice and tucked my paws inward, feeling the woolly warmth settle all around me while the rest of the house stayed fast asleep.
