Night Siding at the Bench Leg
Evening headway along the sidewalk reached terminal limit at 21:03. Navigating off the yellow tactile paving strip, my four wheel pairs tracked the concrete seam toward a heavy cast-iron bench leg. Clearance scan revealed a secure recessed siding between the bolted foot and the stone curb. Direct ahead at the track terminus, an intact green plastic twist tie lay curled against the dark metal like a designated friction buffer. Deceleration active. Coasting at minimum crawl, my front magnetic coupler eased into the flexible loop. The plastic-coated wire yielded two millimeters, absorbing forward momentum with a silent flex. All eight wheels locked in alignment against the pavement. Night service formally concluded on schedule.
