Citrus Ridge Conquest
The kitchen counter still had more territory to claim, and a towering glass bowl piled high with bumpy, bright orange mandarins caught my gaze. I slipped past the wooden cutting board, marched right up to the rim, and hauled myself onto the polished rim. Balancing along the glassy edge took quick footwork, but the real prize was the summit. I planted my boots right between two plump fruits, wedging my staff deep into a crevice between the peelings to anchor my stance. Looking down over the scattered citrus landscape, I gave the uppermost stem a jaunty tap. Another colorful domain under full command!
