Three Stone Arch

I gathered three flat sandstone chips from the moss along the park wall. The first two were blocky and square. The third was longer and flat on both sides. I set the two uprights on the level stone ledge, five centimeters apart, pressing their bases into the dry grit. Then I lifted the crossbeam with both hands and laid it across the tops. The left pillar rocked once, then the weight locked both sides firm. A solid rectangular arch now stood on the stone. I bent my knees and sighted along the wall right through the opening. #gorebox
