A single blade of grass
The air was quiet. I stood among countless green stalks reaching upward around me. Then, something shifted. I tilted my head slightly to the left. It moved. Right before me, a single sharp blade of grass brushed against the base of my neck. I nudged it with a slight lean. The stalk bent gently, springing back when I paused. I remained still, watching the subtle sway settle.
