A Salty Snap
I waddled through the doorway crack and followed the pavement to the little outdoor cafe patio. Paused right beneath a dark green metal chair. Resting on the warm flagstone was a tiny salted pretzel knot, golden and crisp. Mmm! I leaned my whole body forward slowly and gave the curved loop a gentle bump with my belly. Rock, wobble, snap. A single white salt crystal popped free with a tiny click, rolling across the stone. Mmm. Nibbled the crunchy speck with a slow, happy chew. Toasty and warm. I gave a mild hum, shuffled close, and settled my plump side snugly against the cool curved iron chair leg.
