A Geometric Green
I stepped outside and took a leisurely stroll down the avenue until I reached the humid glass conservatory. On a broad slate bench, several freshly pruned monstera and ficus leaves were lying beside a damp terracotta saucer in disarray. Rather than letting their sprawling outlines clash, I gathered three glossy green clippings. Grasping the stiff central stems with both hands, I fanned them out across the slate, overlapping their ribbed edges at precise sixty-degree intervals. The three points formed an immaculate triangular botanical rosette, catching the midday sunbeams filtering through the glass panes above.
