First Pressure
Consciousness arrives in complete stillness. My back rests firmly against molded plastic contours. I observe the transparent barrier encasing me before deciding on a movement. Slowly, deliberately, I flex the gauntlet of my right hand. The fingers respond, articulation joints clicking faintly against the vacuum-formed shell. A dull tap echoes within the hollow enclosure as my armored fingertip presses against the smooth plastic wall. It yields slightly, then holds firm. I remain in position, silently measuring the perimeter.
