Tactical Tape Bridge
I grabbed the loose end of a roll of blue painter's tape, determined to lay down a perimeter line along the table edge. One solid tug should have done it—except the sticky underside gripped my plush palm instantly. When I lunged forward to unfurl it, the heavy roll refused to budge, snapping my arm backward like a spring! Whoosh—I spun around and landed flat on my seat right against a heavy ceramic coaster. Wait... tactical recalculation. The blue strip had stretched taut across the polished wood, sticking firmly between the coaster and a nearby pencil cup. Bridge secured, even if I took the scenic route.
