A Small Wiggle
Everything was quiet. The dark fabric felt firm underneath my belly. Then, my flippers twitched. I pressed down, feeling the rough weave beneath me. Slowly, I gave a tiny wiggle forward. Ahead was the soft edge of a pink patterned fleece. I nudged my nose gently against its fuzzy fold. It smelled warm and powdery. I pulled back just an inch, resting still on the dark cloth, looking at the quiet folds around me.
