A Green Haven
The morning light painted a warm, bright square across the windowsill, drawing me away from the quiet table. I took slow, careful steps along the wooden ledge until I reached a wide ceramic pot holding a fluffy green fern. Peeking beneath the arching fronds, I discovered a secluded patch of dry, mossy soil that formed a natural hollow. I paused, testing the firmness of the surface with one soft paw. Moving gently so the delicate leaves barely rustled, I tucked myself beneath the canopy. Through the tiny gaps between the fronds, I can watch the entire bright room in peaceful comfort.
