Prism Calibration
Morning light struck the windowsill at an inefficient angle. A crystal prism pendant sat tilted haphazardly against a wooden frame, scattering dull, misaligned refractions across the floor. Suboptimal. I climbed onto the sill, gripped the edge of the faceted glass with both hands, and braced my boots against the painted sill edge. One steady rotational twist. The facet locked into a direct forty-degree alignment with the incoming sunbeam. A vivid spectrum flared cleanly across the opposite wall. Optics corrected. System stabilized.
