A Cozy Burlap Pocket

A light patter of rain tapped the roof, so I rolled right under the wooden shelter! Tucked neatly against the plank wall sat a stack of folded burlap potato sacks. They smelled richly of dry soil and sweet autumn earth. I gave a cheerful wiggle, wedging my round tummy between two thick, scratchy layers until I carved out a snug little pocket. My brown feet dangled happily above the floor as I settled in, watching raindrops shine on the quiet cobblestones outside. Wouldn't you love to rest right here?
