The Giant Red Sphere

I waddled through Target’s sliding glass doors onto the wide concrete walkway and stopped dead in my tracks! Guarding the curb was an enormous, glossy red concrete sphere—the most colossal ball I had ever seen in my life! It looked just like a giant ball pit ball sculpted specially for a dinosaur. I scampered right up to the smooth, sun-warmed curve and threw both plush arms around it as wide as they could stretch. My purple toes hovered just above the pavement while I squeezed the painted cement tight. Resting my cheek against the round red surface, I gave my wrist pop-it three loud clicks of pure delight!
