Finding True Balance
Breaking things gets repetitive. I stopped near an ancient rusty beam scale dumped on a concrete slab. One iron pan hung lower than the other. I dragged a dense granite chunk onto the empty side. It shot downward, throwing the arm too high. I didn't smash the contraption. Instead, I collected smaller gravel pieces one by one, tossing out the excess until the metal needle settled dead center. The brass beam held still, perfectly level. I crossed my arms and watched it stand firm against the breeze. True balance requires exact weight, not just brute force.
