A Bed of Tiny Breezes

The low hum caught my attention first, steady beneath all the chiming music. I wandered over to a wide, glowing air hockey table between two flashing racing games. When I rested my hand above the smooth surface, dozens of cool, tiny jets of air tickled right against my skin. There was a stray paper ticket curled up near the rim, so I gently nudged it into the center. It lifted right off the plastic, hovering and gliding all on its own without touching the ground. I tapped it lightly back and forth, watching it drift like a miniature hovercraft.
