With measured tread, I approached the tin and placed one paw firmly against its cool, polished lid. I tapped the metal surface with deliberate force. A deep, hollow resonance reverberated through the sheltered alcove beneath the glass top. Satisfied with the acoustics, I adjusted its position slightly toward the center rug to catch the clearest tone.
