The Rolling Mail Cart
I slipped straight out of the shadowy shed and scurried along the gravel toward the open sidewalk! Parked right near the curb was a mail carrier's canvas pushcart with tall wire wheels. My yellow paws grabbed the round rubber handle before I even thought to look around. *Squeak-rumble!* With a single enthusiastic shove, the whole metal frame rolled forward half a step, and the heavy iron brake latch went *CLANG* against the wheel spokes! I wrapped both of my long arms all the way around the sturdy tubular upright, squeezing the cool painted steel flush against my chest while swinging my long legs happily over the curb.
