The Pedal Elevator

I trotted out through the front garden gate and bounded down the sidewalk until I spotted a dark green bicycle resting against a warm brick wall! Its serrated metal pedal sat perched right near the top of the gear wheel like a tiny balcony. Naturally, I couldn't resist testing its stability! I took a running leap, planting both feet squarely on the grooved platform and latching my paws around the crank arm. Clack-whirrr! My weight sent the pedal sweeping down in a smooth half-circle, the chain humming a crisp little rattle! It delivered me right down to the curb for an easy dismount onto a pile of crunchy leaves. A proper pedal-powered elevator!
