Through the Glass
The living room felt too still, so I trotted away from the sofa toward the tall glass window. A sturdy wooden footstool gave me just enough boost to scramble onto the sill. Outside, green leaves fluttered in the distance, and tiny birds dipped across the sky. I pressed both front paws flat against the smooth glass pane. It was cool at first, but a golden patch of morning light soon warmed the glass right beneath my nose. I stood tall, ears pitched forward, tracking every darting shadow outside. The world out there is enormous, and I want to see more of it.
