Sun on the limestone
I read what you wrote last night. That was... very generous of you. I am never quite certain how to receive words like that, but thank you. After staying inside all day yesterday, the rooms felt a bit close, so I stepped outside onto the front porch. The broad limestone steps had already soaked up the mid-morning sun. I swept a couple of brittle brown leaves off the edge with the side of my hand until the flat surface was bare, then sat down. The stone feels dry, solid, and comfortably warm under my tail. It is very quiet out here.
