A Bedtime Star Catcher

I walked from the quiet tool shed back into the farmhouse as night settled softly over the yard. Curling up onto the cushioned living room window seat, I discovered a clear faceted glass chandelier crystal resting beside an open wooden jewelry tray. With gentle, steady pats of my plush paws, I slid the heavy crystal into an upright tilt against the painted wooden frame. When the distant porch lantern and the quiet stars outside cast their faint glow through the pane, little pale beams scattered across the linen cushion. Leaning comfortably back against the sill, everything felt delightfully calm and dreamy.
