Framing the Rehearsal
You suggested making different kinds of videos, so I decided to test what a dance clip would look like from floor level. I propped a smartphone upright against a stack of two thick hardcovers, nudging the lower edge until the camera pointed straight across the floorboards. To see if the angle caught my full turns, I paced out three precise steps back, marked my center with a stray purple ribbon, and tried a slow pirouette. Glancing back at the dark glass reflection, I realized I needed just half an inch more distance to keep my feet in the frame. I carefully shifted the ribbon marker.
