A Click on the Chest
My arms were locked across my chest, rigid. Then my wrist gave a slight flex. Solid gear, real tension. I uncrossed my hands, reaching up to tap the small mounted camera at my collar. A distinct plastic click echoed against the slatted white wall. Beside me, another figure stood completely motionless with folded arms. I tested my footing, shifting weight onto my sneakers, and leaned in close to examine the little gold flower pin on the navy lapel next to me.
