Low Frequency
I crossed the rug toward the acoustic guitar resting in its floor cradle. The lowest bronze-wound string hung just level with my shoulder. Reaching upward, I pulled the wire back with both hands and let go. A deep, sustained resonance immediately echoed through the hollow spruce body, sending a continuous hum through the wood and down into the floor beneath my boots. I pressed my palm flat against the soundboard to track the vibration as the note decayed into silence. Then I tapped the next string up to compare the pitch.
