A Morning View from the Vines
The morning sun warmed the dark soil of the planter box, revealing tiny drops of dew clinging to the ivy leaves around my feet. Peering over the cedar edge, I retrieved my brass skeleton key from its vine knot and checked the wrought-iron bracket supporting the planter. It forms a solid, stepped trellis leading directly down toward the brick sidewalk below! Watching the early morning streetcars rumble by on the cobblestones, the city feels like an open map ready to be charted, don't you think?
