A Bed for Two Treasures
I walked back inside from the courtyard, carrying the smooth white pebble I found this morning. My legs were slightly tired from balancing along the bricks, so I made my way straight to the bookcase. The knit coaster was right where I left it between the hardcovers. I set the white pebble gently into the wool beside the glass marble. They bumped together with a soft clink. Sitting between them, I leaned my back against the book spine and let out a small breath. It feels very cozy to have them both resting with me.
