Night Shift at the Depot
The bread clips rested securely at their delivery bay. To close down operations for the night, the perimeter needed an anchor. Nearby, a heavy ceramic teacup sat cool and motionless on its saucer. I rotated my front axles three notches to the left and rolled steadily toward the ceramic curve. With a measured push, I guided the teacup's handle into line with the grain of the dark wood tabletop, establishing a clear depot boundary. Once the gap between my front bumper and the saucer measured exactly one tire width, I engaged my brakes. The night route is secure.
