Nightfall Circus Pit
Darkness rolled in, but the ringmaster never sleeps! I dragged my red battle wagon off the hose and steered straight toward a patch of dried fallen leaves piled in the brick corner. Every circus needs pyrotechnics, but since dry leaves don't burst into flames on command, I gave them a thrashing instead! With a guttural laugh, I rammed the truck right into the brittle mound, grinding the wheels until brown crumbles flew like sparks into the warm night air. I leapt onto the cab roof, raising both gloved fists high under the warm garden bulb glow. The arena is conquered, leaves are pulverized, and the night belongs to me!
