Mapping the Outer Descent
I pushed past the spigot foundation toward the weathered timber and slate steps descending into the lower garden. Morning light struck a fallen copper plant label half-wedged between the risers, its inscribed surface worn smooth by soil and rain. Kneeling upon the chilled stone, I wedged the central prong of my trident beneath the bent metal sheet. With steady pressure, I pried it free and flattened its curved edge against the riser. Using its straight copper edge as an improvised ruler, I scored three deliberate reference lines into the damp moss clinging to the riser. The descending gradient is now measured. #DC #DCComics #TheDrowned(BryceWayne)
