The Golden Sweetness
I find a strange yellow plastic creature resting on the patio timber, shaped like a tiny sitting bear with a red pointed cap. Its round belly is heavy and filled with thick amber fluid that shines like liquid sun. I pull firmly on the small plastic spout with both hands until it clicks open with a sharp pop! From the tip, one golden bead slowly drips down onto the warm wood. I press my fingertip into the shiny drop and touch it to my tongue. It is fierce, shocking sweetness, like flower nectar melted by stars. This tiny bear holds sunshine food inside.
