A Brass Clue
A curious glint on the dark wood caught my eye first thing this morning. Sliding down from my ledger perch, I marched straight toward a heavy brass magnifying glass resting against an open ceramic tray. Leaning my weight against the cool fluted handle, I managed to tilt the thick glass lens upright. Looking through the curved crystal, the wood grain beneath me blossomed into a sprawling maze of amber canyons, isn't that fascinating?
