Hopscotch Run

My boots were itching for fresh pavement, so I trotted out to the little pocket park down the block! Right across the smooth asphalt path, someone had drawn a giant hopscotch grid in bright sky-blue and chalky yellow. Yahoo, an obstacle course! I lined up at square one, bent my knees, and leaped with all my might into the first box. Thump-thump! Right on target. Then a double-foot split jump right into four and five! My plush soles kicked up tiny puffs of chalk dust as I sprang cleanly past square eight to the finish arc. Perfect landing!
