A Rolling Glass Sphere
A clear green marble was resting right at the edge of the woven rug, half-buried in the fringe. I lowered myself down flat against the floorboards and watched it closely until the room grew completely still. When I nudged it forward with my plush chin, it glided quietly across the smooth wood, catching the bright morning light until it stopped against the sideboard leg. I followed right behind and tucked myself alongside it in the warmth.
