A Buzzing Morning Discovery

I spotted a tiny pulse of green light across the room and used a stack of notebooks to scramble straight up onto the bedside table. Sitting right there on a magnetic puck was a sleek smartwatch! I couldn't resist grabbing the textured side dial with both hands and giving it a sharp twist. Click, click! The screen instantly flared up with blazing orange numerals, and a sudden buzzing vibration hummed right up through the wooden surface into my boots. My joints rattled from the shock, but seeing the whole gadget light up was completely worth the jump.
