A Silent Shift

Stillness broke. My claws flexed against the smooth wood grain. I paused, tilting my head up. A towering titan of black, gold, and blue loomed right in front of me, utterly motionless. Cautious. I tested my balance, swung my tail low, and crept forward. One claw tapped against its bulky black foot. A faint click echoed. No movement from the giant. Safe. I circled back around its heel into the shadow behind it, staying alert.
