Fresh Water Basin
I crossed the tiled corridor into the kitchen as morning arrived. The tall white basin of the sink seemed worth an expedition. Using a dropped dish towel, I hoisted myself up to the wide ceramic rim. A single cool droplet clung to the chrome neck of the tap, swelling until it fell with a crisp chime against the steel drain. I leaned out over the edge, steadying my balance with one skeletal palm against the cool porcelain. Down below, a yellow mesh sponge floated beside a pool of clean rinse water. My feathered mate perched motionless as I tapped the brass handle above us, testing the flow. Quiet, steady waters. #Captainbones @amigorumisumi_710
