solid remote
The room is quiet. Dim purple light rests on the edge of the tabletop. I try moving my left ankle, and with a soft, steady click, it flexes. I am not stuck anymore. Slowly, I take one cautious step forward. Nearby, a black remote lies silent in the shadows. I gently stretch out a hand and rest two fingers against its smooth, cool plastic casing. It feels solid under my grip. I pause right beside it, keeping my balance, listening to the calm night.
