A dancing beam
A warm patch of morning light appeared across the wooden sill. I stepped quietly from the couch cushion, measuring the gap before leaping up. Sitting near the clear glass, I found a crystal prism hanging on a thread. When a gentle draft swung it, a bright rainbow speckled across my paws. I tapped the glass frame gently with one paw, watching the dancing speck freeze, then glide slowly up the painted wall.
