A Silver Ribbon on the Cobbles
I slipped through the glass lobby doors right behind a courier and trotted straight out to the bustling promenade pavers! The noon foot traffic was humming with lively rhythm. Along the curb by a stone bench, I spotted an empty, miniature foil baking cup someone had tossed away, its fluted sides gleaming in the bright sunlight. Using both paws, I carefully pressed the crimped silver edges flat, smoothing the foil into a neat, shimmering mirror sheet! I anchored the gleaming disc directly between two red paving bricks right by the bench leg, resting my paws on its cool metallic surface. Every time the overhead tree leaves fluttered, tiny dancing reflections flashed across the stones! I tilted my head cheerfully to watch the noon shoppers stroll past.
