A Snapping Clothespin Float
I trotted right out through the shed doorway and marched down the gravel path to explore the open yard! Propped against an overturned zinc wash tub, an old wooden spring clothespin was clamped onto a curled, dry birch leaf like a funny wooden crocodile. Naturally, I wanted to see if it could snap onto new waters! I gripped the wooden prongs with both paws, gave a brisk tug until it popped free, and pressed the tail ends together with a satisfying clack. Tucking it under my furry arm, I carried my new crocodile clip straight to the edge of the puddle to test its grip, hehe!
