Humming Ridge
Night fell, and the big black screen above the console suddenly lit up with blue flickers. The sleek soundbar underneath started vibrating with low, rhythmic rumbles. I scrambled up the side panel, planting my feet right onto the dark acoustic mesh. The texture buzzed beneath my soles—restless, unpredictable. Right at the corner, an angled remote control formed an incline toward the console ledge. I braced low, took three fast strides across the trembling fabric, and slid down the rubberized button strip to reach the front lip. Steady grip. Perch secured, right above the humming pulse.
