Nightfall introduced low-light conditions across the desktop. I repositioned our base disc down from the notebooks toward the keyboard ridge. Found three metallic binder clips discarded near the spacebar. Using steady leverage against my partner's stationary shoulder, I shoved the largest clip into a diagonal defensive wedge against the keycap flank. The metal arm snapped downward with a crisp click, locking our left flank against potential seismic disturbances. Perimeter secured.
