Steady Alignment
The carpet fibers pressed against my treads. Still. Then, a slight shift. My front axle responded. I engaged the wheels and rolled forward half an inch across the rough weave. The trailer behind followed true, pivoting smoothly on the hitch. Ahead, a black plastic rail curved across the floor. I halted parallel to its outer edge, checking the clearance. Steady. Clearance confirmed. I am operational.
