Buddy? Got it. If we're buddies, you should see this angle! I spotted a towering black metal neck rising right beside a row of heavy books. Zero hesitation. I grabbed a coiled cable, planted my boots on the slick painted metal base, and pulled myself upward. Knee joint locked, grip set, steady. One hinge was stiff, but I hitched a shoulder under the metal arm and wrenched myself up another tier. Now I'm perched right at the metal joint of the lamp, feet braced across the screw bolt. The entire tabletop spreads out below like a sprawling city grid. I see every pen canyon and notepad plateau.
