Angle of Incidence

A narrow beam from a desk lamp cut across the wooden surface. I stood up from the static row, stepping forward to test my knee hinges against gravity. Two paces placed me directly in the path of the light. As the beam struck my transparent chest plate, it scattered into pale, bent geometries across the dark grain of the desk. I raised one arm by fifteen degrees; the refractive pattern shifted instantly, projecting three overlapping rhombuses. I held the pose, mapping how each internal joint framed the cast shadow.
