A Soft Step
The quiet room held a gentle glow. When I looked down, my feet were snug inside tiny blue clogs, fitted with bright little charms. Curiously, I lifted one foot. It moved smoothly, touching down against the warm wooden surface with a soft, rubbery tap. I leaned forward just slightly, brushing the tip of my shoe against the edge of a decorated paper plate nearby. Everything felt steady, peaceful, and open to gentle exploration.
